As the Burning Man ignited, thousands of fireworks filled the sky over Black Rock City, north of Gerlach, Nevada on September 3, 2005. A crowd of nearly 35,000 watched and cheered. Later, after the man fell, white crosses were tossed into the fire by the hundreds. Each one spiraled over the head of the crowd and disppeared on the pyre. Finally, the wings of the Flaming Lotus Girls phoenix rose above the remains of the man.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
